Hubert Lorenzo Frederick is a proud St. Croix native with over 25 years of banking and financial management experience. He graduated from the St. Croix Central High School and went on to further his education at Florida A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. Hubert strongly believes that the creation of employment opportunities can be achieved through education and training, thus he continued his studies at Georgia State University, where he earned a Master of Science degree in Planning and Economic Development. 

Hubert’s experience spans across multiple disciplines such as healthcare administration, business financing, commercial banking, real estate, taxes, insurance, management, and the United Stated Navy Reserve. After graduating from college, Hubert enlisted in the U.S. Navy (USNR) to serve his country and concluded his service with an Honorable Discharge. After his military experience, he embarked on a multi-faceted career that has given him the opportunity to successfully work as an auditor with a Fortune 500 Company and Big 8 accounting firms in Miami, Florida called Deloitte, Haskins and Sells. As his career evolved, Hubert worked with the State Department of Audits, and advanced into Loan Underwriting, Account Management, Business Development, and oversaw the Southeastern United States Operations for a major bank. 

His dedication, and commitment to the people of the United States Virgin Islands first began when he was recruited as Deputy Commissioner of Health in 2004. In his capacity, he also served as Acting Mental Health Director during part of his tenure. Upon leaving the Department of Health, Hubert immediately joined First Bank VI as a Commercial Banker. In his role, he assisted several local business owners on St. Croix to secure over $10 million dollars in loans for business growth. At the same time, he has co-hosted the radio show “Money Talk and More” for eight years where he has shared his knowledge about being financially independent with a focus on sustainability. He continues to encourage, motivate, and coach the younger generation in becoming successful entrepreneurs. 

Hubert Lorenzo Fredrick is the proud owner of Laundry Time and Island Insurance Agency and has positively impacted the people of the U.S.V.I., particularly on the island of St. Croix. He is a founding member and Treasurer of the St. Croix Track Club which is focused on track and field for the youths of St. Croix. Hubert is a well-respected individual in the community who seeks to foster inclusive economic growth for his home, St. Croix. 

When I'm not at work, I really love to watch Track and Field and college football and basketball games. When the weather is nice, I go on hikes, play with my pet donkey, or indulging in my passion on ways to save the world.
